Located in a historic building of Ciutat Vella, the place where La Foodieteca is, was for almost 30 years the first modern gym in Barcelona, where stars like Madonna and Bruce Springsteen went to exercise while in the city.

After being abandoned for years, in 2014 the place was completely renovated to create what is now La Foodieteca: a diaphanous loft NY style with a full professional kitchen (see kitchen equipment).
